In a world filled with wonder and laughter, sometimes life throws us a curveball. While our business line is known for clean, funny, punny humour, cancer is the one exception—a topic that calls for raw authenticity. This card may not be lighthearted in its message, Fuck Cancer, but it carries the weight of love, hope, and unwavering solidarity.
Originally created as a custom order for a courageous individual who navigated their own cancer journey, this card was designed to offer comfort and support to a friend facing a similar battle. The words, Fuck Cancer, embody the strength and compassion found within communities touched by this horrible disease.
When designing this card, I wanted to balance the gravitas of cancer with the lightness of hope. This wee woodland fox and vibrant botanicals were hand-stamped and coloured in using alcohol-based markers. I set them against a backdrop of purple—the universal color of unity and hope for all cancers. But it’s the layer of natural cardstock that truly speaks to the heart of this card, with the words “fuck cancer” cut out in bold defiance, capturing the spirit of resilience.
So, whether you’re sending this card to a loved one battling cancer or showing your support for someone in need, let it serve as a reminder that together, we’re stronger than cancer. Because sometimes, the most powerful words are the ones we speak from the heart.
