Volunteering is it’s own reward

I got to hang out with some lovely fellow volunteers from the Esquimalt Farmers Market this weekend. They say that volunteering is its own reward but it sure is nice to be appreciated! We were treated to a tea-tasting at Silk Road Teas in downtown Victoria. I try volunteering around once a month since I’m not able to commit to being a vendor every week.

I know a number of local Farmers Markets are always grateful for any volunteers. This is a simple and fun way to be a part of your community, local Market scene AND you can scout out all the best goods on offer by our Makers, Bakers and Growers! They are usually looking for volunteers to help with set-up, vendor and customer assistance and take-down. I know that I certainly appreciate the amazing people that show up and give us Vendors a hand!

I love being a part of this amazing Community of makers, bakers, growers and volunteers! Here a couple of links to get you started:
